A beautiful day in the park, with a few "first of season" birds for me. Definitely fewer warblers about; no black-and-whites or redstarts, which were abundant only a few short weeks ago...

Not too much activity in Prospect today, the highlight being a YELLOW-
BREASTED CHAT along the Long Meadow side of the Lower Pool in the
afternoon. The overall mix is changing towards fall birds, with fewer
warblers and flycatchers in favor of more sparrows and raptors. The
autumnal trend should accelerate with cooler weather in the offing...
