From Rafael:

site: Prospect Park, Brooklyn, Kings Co.; NY
date: 10 May 2008
Observer: Rafael Campos
Nice day, with a good number of sps of warblers, being the "ONE", a Cerulean, seen by Ed Crowne, Phil Pane & Shane Blodgett ( I missed by 5 minutes). But there were other nice bird sps around the park, too, like: Wilson's Warbler, Indigo Bunting, Blackpoll Warbler, Solitary Sandpiper, Chestnut-sided Warbler.
Also the number of birders was big enough, and several groups were seen around the different areas of the park.
Another rarity for PP, was 1 male Red-headed Woodpecker found by Ed Crowne & Phil Pane, early (~7 am) at the Butterfly Meadow/Lookout Hill.
Here is my list for today:

From Rob Bate:

Peter,

On Saturday I was walking the Lullwater with a friend after I did the
JBWR trip with Joe Giunta and the Botanical Garden walk.  We ran across
two birders staring intently into a tree.  They said they had a
Yellow-breasted Chat in a tree and sure enough there was one perched.
It stayed there for at least 5 minutes offering front, back and profile
views, unmistakably a Chat.  I didn't see any mention of this bird on
the BBC sightings blog and thought you might want the report if you
didn't have it.  This was around 4PM.  The bird was located between a
bridge overhead and the Peninsula just before the path turns to head
out to the Peninsula.

Also, we saw the Prothonotary Warbler by West Island.
