Mystery Warbler or Vireo at Binnen Pool..and more Siskins! + Perry & more stuff

Mary posted a note on 20 PINE SISKINS at Binnen Pool , which is the small pool with Cattails behind a locked gate at the northeast end of the Nethermead. Most intriguing there is a warbler or vireo that didn't give a long enough look. So, a heads up for anyone on a search for this "possible" rarity, whether a late bird or something "lost". -- Kingsboider

Mary's note: At the Binnen Pool, right before the flock of 20 siskins flew in, I saw a warbler or vireo, but then it disappeared. My first thought was that it looked like an American Redstart female, but the look was too quick. Still, I didn't notice any typical Redstart displaying, so I cannot be sure it wasn't the vireo people have been looking for. I sat on the bench for at least 15 minutes hoping for another sighting, but no luck.

A early afternoon casual walk with family for Prospect fall foliage colors sightseeing nevertheless allowed my seeing two PEREGRINE FALCONS soaring circles over the Boathouse Pond, staying up there quite awhile till both birds drifted over towards the Nethermead. From the bench  in front of the East Wood Arch building, the aerial observation of both "Perries" accentuated the quality time spent in colorful Prospect.

From Eni Falci:

Hi Peter-

Did not report birds from yesterday but the Saturday noon [Audubon] walk saw a Blue-headed Vireo near the path to the Ravine with the pine siskin group. May be mystery bird in near by pool area. Did not see it today.

Today's highlights were small group of golden crowned kinglets in nelly's lawn at foot of hawk nest pine tree (now dead). Also in the new planting area at nelly's lawn a lost green budgie. Tried to coax it in but it was staying with the song sparrows.

Also 3 sapsuckers , 1 in vale and 2 at lull water behind rustic arbor. Otherwise the usuals. Got a good look at a male wood duck "riding the rapids under the bridge".
