******************************************************************

This morning , while passing Duck island , I noticed a strange goose among the Canada Geese, on the shoreline lawn. I thought it was a Great White-fronted Goose until I looked more closely. With more paleness and  underbelly white, I thought of hybrid. In the sibley field guide, there is a picture of such a hybrid GRWFG with Snow Goose. Look for it along the lawns near Duck Island.

A GREEN HERON flew down the Lullwater near the rink. Likely nesting.
