6/7 sightings

Large View

From Rafael:

Site: Prospect Park, Brooklyn, Kings Co., NY
date: 07 June 2008
Observer: Rafael Campos
Beside the heat, not too many birds around PP this morning, but my surprise was seeing 3 species that I consider rare for PP in June: Swainson's Thrush -Vale-; Northern Parula -Rck's place ; Ruddy Duck -Lake.
A nice finding was an active nest of Orchard Oriole, in the edge of the Nethermead.
The list for today:
Canada Goose
Mallard
Ruddy Duck
Double-crested Cormorant
Black-crowned Night-Heron
Red-tailed Hawak
(American) Herring Gull
