I'm just back from a week long family vacation in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts which included a spectacular view atop Massasachusetts highest point Mount Greylock. A very rich cultural region ( inc Tanglewood,summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra) as well as a natural wonderland
Here are reports received during my home absence:
of note is Forster's Tern , 15 seen may be a record when I check my work database Monday. Also Black Skimmer,Least Tern, Least Sandpipers ;Yellow Warbler, Indigo Bunting (noted early fall migrants ) , Spotted Sandpiper;
From David Chortaiy:
I saw a male Indigo Bunting in the Neathermead (by the pond near the arches) Friday morning
(Kingsboider note: this pond is Binnen Pool)
