Prospect April 16th TV kettle, EAKI sighting; GWC report

On a rare  " hot " spring day, it's usually a no bird day but today Russ Alderson reported 24 TURKEY VULTURES in a kettle over Lily Pool ( Pagoda) as expected for hot rarified thermal air currents these vultures like soaring on but 24 is a great number for these parts.

Also noted, Bobi Manian reported EASTERN KINGBIRD , likely the season's first, at the Peninsula "pink" concrete beach ( midafternoon)

I saw two GADWALL on the lake.

From Russ:

Nothing new but I observed 24 Turkey Vultures from the lily pond bridge circling above the long meadow/ravine area for just a minute before flying off to the NE. Common?
