Winter is showing its early sign:
In the Peninsula Cove/Duck Island/Rink waterway, a HOODED MERGANSER drake along with 6 WOOD DUCKS (5 drake),2 BLACK DUCK and an estimated 60 NORTHERN SHOVELER are present . Also of note are 3 Black crowned Night Heron on Duck Island, a Belted Kingfisher and a flyover Great Blue Heron as I was coming to work.
