Mike Corzine's report on Connecticut warbler

Hey Peter!

After three weeks of working long hours in L.A., I made it out to the park late this afternoon. I went looking for the Connecticut Warblerand found him at about 5:15pm on Lookout, off the wood chip path that leads off to the right when going up the stairs from Center Dr. I saw him about 30 paces from where the path splits, on the upside of the hill. There's a splintered tree that only a woodpecker could love, and the beginning of a fence. He was foraging low.

Lots of black 'n whites and  black-throated blues, including an audacious comedian who came in close (about 2-3') to check out my new black and blue sneaks.

Peter's Note:  The last reported spot  from Mike's email would be to go up the stairs from the Center Drive/West Drive T junction, and go right on the 2nd mulch trail up the stairs. This would be the western-southwestern slope.Good luck.

also of note today with fallout: 18 species warblers.
