4/27 sightings

Site: Prospect Park, Brooklyn; Kings Co., NY
date: 27 april 2008
Observers: Rafael Campos, Gayle & Xandra
Early today, the rain almost stopped me for making the morning walk, but no way Jose.
The big surprise around Vale, is that the HOWA was stil present. A little later I joined forces with Gayle and we continued to the Midwood/Ravine. E. Crowne made a brief appearence, and later Gayle & Xandra joined me til noon.
The YRWAs are stil numerous, and other warblers are becoming a daily sight (at least for now). At the end of the walk, 10 sps of warblers were recorded. Other newcomers to my year list were the Great Crested Flycatcher & Orchard Oriole.
A 2nd HOWA, male, was seen briefly near the Nethermead Arches.
