First Sunday Walk 9/7 report

First Sundays walk from the Boathouse, led by a Brooklyn Bird club member.

see our BBC webiste field trips page for dates and time.

From leader Heidi Steiner:

Hello All,

Here is a list of the birds that were seen on our First Sunday of the Month Walk. 36 species total.
Not everyone saw (of heard) all of the birds.
A group of us had a nice mixed flock on the peninsula after we had split up.
Seeing the Black-crowned Night Heron and the Great Blue Heron together in the Lullwater was a real treat.
I think we had a total of 32 people on the walk.
This is the time, the place and the weather for hawk migration.
Keep looking up, you may be amazed by what you see!
See you soon.
Heidi
