Brooklyn Bird Club walk Sunday; Xmas Count in 2 weeks (Dec 18th)

Eddie Davis in his debut will lead his first BBC walk this Sunday. Eddie first birded with the First Sunday group from the PP Audubon Center, and was instrumental in organizing his May Birdathon teams the past few years that was a big part of of the fundraising for adpoted causes.

Join Eddie this Sunday for a walk for Prospect winter birds.

Focus: winter species, sparrows, raptors, ducks

In two weeks from today, on December 18th, the Brooklyn Xmas Count commences. If you are interested in participating in a Brooklyn locale among teams , please let teams coordinator Heidi Steiner know. There are several teams in need of volunteers. Some locales include Prospect , BBG, Greenwood Cemetery that this blog covers, as well as Floyd Bennett.

Comments: Coordinator assigns trip leaders and participants, assimilating teams and establishing starting points with team leaders. Please call early as possible for participation in this great event. Time is needed to plan and figure out the details. The count dinner will be held at the Prospect Park Audubon Center.
