Dear Prospect Park Community:

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Emily Lloyd has

accepted the dual positions of President of Prospect Park

Alliance and Administrator of Prospect Park. She will start

work at the Park on January 31, 2011.

Emily’s years of public service make her a well known and

respected figure in New York. She has served as Commissioner

of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection

and Commissioner of the Department of Sanitation, as well as

an Executive Vice President at Columbia University and most

recently Chief Operating Officer at Trinity Real Estate.

In 2004, the Alliance developed a management and

governance plan to address a variety of issues including

succession planning for me and our founding chairman,

Henry Christensen III. In 2007, Albert H. Garner became

chairman. Today, we are excited to have found our new

President.

The Alliance Board and Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe

agree Emily will be a great leader for Prospect Park. She

brings years of experience in nonprofit management, capital

projects, financial management, and city government.

I am so pleased with the selection of Emily. She is capable

of building on all that has been done in Prospect Park.

Emily lives in Brooklyn and is looking forward to getting to better

know the community of Park users.

Sincerely,

Tupper Thomas

President

Prospect Park Alliance
