October 1st , Prospect Park

Hilights: 18 species warblers inc Hooded Warbler , several raptors, albino (all white) Gray Catbird

Hi Peter.

Here's a list of what we saw today (Scott and I along with Janet, Adam and Kevin McDonnell)

All in all there were 17 species of warblers, Indigo Bunting, Scarlet Tanager, Baltimore Oriole, Merlin, Cooper's H, Sharpie, etc
Lots of Yellow-rumps but no American Redstarts at all....

I spotted a ALBINO (all white) GRAY CATBIRD, first I have ever seen in the middle section of the Peninsula Sumac grove (adjacent to well drive)

6 Wood Ducks in Peninsula cove, 3 drakes.

Coopers Hawk seen hovering and descending into Butterfly Meadow for prey

Lincoln's Sparrow behind the rink, along the shore, in phrgamite

Northern Shoverlers in western sector of Lake ( at least 30 seen)

225 Canda Geese on Peninsula meadow

For the warbler record, I did see one redstart on Thurs, Oct 1 along the south shore (lake) by 3 Sisters. Also I got a look at the Hooded (warbler) after Adam alerted me.
