February 20th Prospark /BBG

A very late walk into Prospect  after a day in the Garden to get the last  hour of daylight on this very nice day rewarded me with BUFFLEHEAD on the Lake. Actually it was a pair just inside the Peninsula thumb , as I saw afar from the lake west shore. A closer look from the Peninsula confirmed the identification. Close by, a pair likewise of HOODED MERGANSERS offer the best looks for birds of my late entry in the park.

Earlier, we could see the PEREGRINE FALCON claim high perch on the BBGarden radio tower. Also, after late lunch in the cafeteria, I spotted an adult RED-TAILED HAWK fly in and perch on the famed Daffodil  Hill oak which its exotic name I forget....
