Hilight at Brooklyn Botanic Garden : Baltimore Oriole

From Eni Falci:

Hi Peter-
Quiet birding weekend. Many hermit thrushes yesterday in the park. Good "dogfight" between Red tailed Hawk and 28+ crows over Nethermead at noon yesterday, but after that few birds. Some activity at Binnen around 3pm bathing behind Music Pagoda.

Went to the BBG this morning looking for fruit eaters. Lots of Cedar Wax Wings and Robins on the Zumi Crabapples ( along Lawn at entry off Eastern Pkwy). But reward of the morning was a yellowish female Baltimore Oriole feeding on large black fruit Ilex macrocarpa (Tree in lawn between stairs from Conservatory past Black Bamboo before stream.) Native garden is open today.
