Numbers dropped dramatically from many migrants taking advantage of last night's favorable winds. Scattered dispersal of birds were seen, some along the south lakeside ,most at the east cove between the Three Sisters and Duck Island. See Peter's report. Rafael also birded .See also his report.
Got to run for playoff game,Go Cyclones !

****************************************************
With dark skies overhead, nice cold temperatures, but not that bad, and with a great hope to have another day like yesterday. But...
Today's bird activity was in small pockets scattered around the park. Nothing spectacular, or unusual, except, perhaps, close range views of 1 Prairie Warbler, near the same spot we saw it yesterday (by the way, only 11 sps of Parulidae vs 13 of yesterday).
No seldom seen, but at least sometimes yes, 1 lonely Brown Thrasher, near the Peninsula meadow.
Byt 10 am, the first raindrops started to fall, and we human flock started to move to their shelters in the Slope.

From Rob Bate:
Tracy and I walked the Vale (a few birds), the Midwood (even fewer), Esdale Bridge (nada), the Lullwater (a few) and around the lake. It was starting to rain heavily but along the south shore there were many, many warblers. Most were the usual suspects but also there was a Nashville.
