Highlight for this mid-September "time frame" was the appearance of CONNECTICUT WARBLER seen walking ( typical for this species) along the "rising" road edge of southern Lookout Hill, just before it turns into Butterfly Meadow, seen by Mary Eyster. It is very likely the same bird seen by Elyse Taylor two days ago at near the base of the Maryland Monument area. The bird then took off higher upslope to the edges of Butterfly Meadow's southern perimeter, likely and hopefully still there in the meadow.
On a second note, Lookout Hill at this locale was quite active according to reports with Philadelphia Vireo another highlight alone with Blue-headed Vireo and numerous warblers.
