The things we find in Prospect. Here is a bird- a quail-- found injured in the park , bought to our office early this morning. After some online searches, I found it's Coturnix japonica or by its english name, Japanese Quail.The bird was taken to an animal rehabilitator in the Kensington section by Fort Hamilton Parkway.
(seriously...I was hoping for Yellow Rail..shucks!)
