Still a little early for warbler numbers, today's bird with honors was the Black and White Warbler. 6 BWWA seen from my early walk:1 at the Esdale Bridge south side, 2 at the Tennis House, 3 inside the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Native Flora section. The Ambergill creek on the south side of the Ravine entrance--the Esdale Bridge-- has a eddy type slow water spot that birds are attracted to, on the right side about 50 feet from the bridge. Here also among bathing robins, also American Redstart and NorthernWaterthush, albeit a quick look, disappeared into the aquatics.A great spot for a big sit (staying still at one location). And also, a single Yellow Warbler on the Upper Pool's Island, right above 4 hidden Wood Ducks.
