Prospect Aug 26th Birds Coming thru.....

Very decent warbler movement occurred this morning , spurred on by northwest wind, as expected, in several spots from birders reports. At least 12 species warblers were seen including best one YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT seen by Keir , then when this blog posted it, Rob Bate.I will count later the total warbler species. Most amusing though was a report from Keir who sighted a Chukar on Breeze Hill! Of course, its an escape, known as a Chinese delicacy. Takeout anyone?

Tonight could be a nice evening for Common Nighthawks. ( we hope so)

From Rob Bate:

Peter,

I was only able to get out for an hour or so to get the Chat.  Besides the YBChat I had Redstart, Yellow, N Waterthrushes, Canada, the Prairie, B&W, Black-throat Blue (f), and maybe a Magnolia.  Very busy in spots.

Rob
