Hi Peter
Went for a walk with my wife around the Lake area, not birding too hard as we were trying out a new camera. Nothing surprising, but was nice to see a group of 3 Pied-billed Grebe diving together and 2 pairs Hooded Merganser. Hairy Woodpecker very active in feeder area.
Cheers!
Adam

Had a late, quick stroll around Prospect this afternoon. Red-winged Blackbird was interesting because I've seen so few around in recent months.
Cheers!

From Elyse:
Hi Peter,
Hope you are having a great holiday!
Today when I went to the feeders, as I was passing ravine to go to the feeders, just past the Audubon center, near the benches an orange crowned warbler flew by and landed in the bush near the bench. I was amazed,
considering that I gave up looking for it!
At the feeders I saw many house finches, a mocking bird nearby, a chickadee, and than a hawk zooming around, so all the birds took flight! It looked like a coopers hawk. That made me happy.
Timing is everything,
Elyse
