I received a report from Mike Corzine regarding a Wilson's Warbler,a very early bird .From the photo attached, you can see its a male bird.

Here is his summary :

Hey Peter! My 10lb luck charm paid off again today. Not a Bittern, but I'll take what i can get. He and I ran into a couple of kind birders in the Vale who not only pointed out a couple of Black and Whites, but also mentioned they saw a Wilson's in the Midwood. I went looking for it and found it at 3- 3:20pm. We saw him again, as we were leaving, in the same spot, just before 5 pm. He was half way up on the right side (as you're going up) of the dirt- woodchip path directly across from Nellie's Lawn. When the landscape fence ends, look right. We got lots of good looks. He was foraging around cut/ fallen tree trunks and a few low seedlings.. I've attached a few photos. The one with the bird isn't too bad, considering I took it through my binoculars. The second is a photo of the location of the bird, if anyone else wants to try. Best of luck.
Also, tons of Kinglets, everywhere. Palms in a few places too and a Yellow- Rump here and there. Oddly I had no Pines, but I wasn't in the park too long. B/Ws were on the North East corner of the Vale.
Best,
Michael

Peter report:

With a temperature cooldown, it was an incentive to bird Prospect in the late afternoon. From 5 to 7 pm. i was quite delighted to see 5 species warblers and 6 species sparrows. Also, with quite a good number of people on the lawns , i couldnt get over the bold determination of numerous Robins, especially in the Nethermead, at least 85 Robins sharing the field with human counterparts.. On the latter location, near the edge of the nethermead by Center Drive, 3 Savannah Sparrows shared a spot with 9 Chipping Sparrows and a lone Dark eyed Junco. Another quality sparrow emerged at the Upper Pool wildlfower meadow, a Field Sparrow that caught my glimpse just before it dropped down into the grasses. But the species of the late afternoon were the numerous Ruby Crowned Kinglets, a sizable flock along the back path between the Upper Pool and Quaker Ridge slope.. my estimate was a conservative number so definitely there are more..To my delight, i was satified with great views of a Louisiana Waterthush working the shore of Falkill Falls pool , the bird flipping up leaves right next to a Budweiser beer can...i should mention to the bird, forget the beer, drink the water ( but i might get some argument there from freinds
;)> ....plenty of good birding out there
