Yesterday 5/13
From Chris Holden
Hi Peter,
I entered Prospect Park today around 9:45 am and didn't have time to
sip my coffee before facing a warbler onslaught. Over the next 30
minutes or so, on the path from Grand Army Plaza to the Vale/Rose
Garden, I sighted 14 species of warbler. I ran into other birders who
reported a Cape May along that stretch as well, but I never found it
myself. The rest of the day wasn't nearly as exciting. For instance,
I had only two other species of warbler that I didn't see on the path
(Northern Waterthrush and a Prairie Warbler, the latter which I only
heard).
