Prospect Aug 16th Brewsters Warbler; 3 reports

Frm keir~FWD: @railbabbler: Brewsters warbler top of lookout seitchback trail

Keir Randall's report:

A highlight this morning in Prospect Park was a Brewster's Warbler. This was on the East slope of Lookout Hill, near the top of "switchback trail". First seen around 7.45am and then off and on until 8.50 am when I left the area. It ranged from the top of the canopy, often working dead leaves (at the top of the trail/paved path) and down to to the low grass meadow where American Goldfinches were feeding. I saw it complete this circuit at least 3 times and saw it point blank on several occasions. At one point it interacted with a Blue-winged Warbler. It's possible that it will remain in that area today.

The bird had a small area of yellow on the forecrown, a dark gray eye line, a very prominent yellow belly patch and smudgy yellow/green wingbars.
Looking online at the variety of Brewster plumages this is a close fit for today's bird:

From Bobbi Manian:

Hi Peter,

I ran into Eni on Lookout this morning and we birded Lookout, Binen and Rick's Place until about 1:30, highlights being black-throated green, worm-eating, 2 ruby-throated hummingbirds, and a blue-grey gnatcatcher.

After we parted, i continued around east side of lake and back around to wellhouse and back out over Lookout.  added spotted sandpiper and northern waterthrush and another blue-grey gnatcatcher.

Here's my list:
