While driving through Ricks Place/Payne Hill, I saw some scattered gray feathers , including this group still attached next to the road.One feather was in a tree low branch. Obviously there was a kill and I am wondering if these feathers were from an adult Coopers. The longest feathers were at least under a foot long as pictured here. I couldn't find a carcass, likely carried off by the hunter or a scavenger. It takes a big raptor to kill something large as this victim..Hmmm, it 's more like a red-tailed or even a Gos.. click on the picture for larger zoom.
