Northern Saw-whet Owl in a Park Slope backyard
I received an email tonight from a birding friend who sent me this photo sent to him . The Northern Saw-whet Owl was in an eastern Park Slope backyard today.
Which begs the question: start looking in Prospect Park for any more ? If you do find one, its best to keep it a secret if you find one somewhere. Owls are highly sensitive to disturbance after traveling great distances, and oftentimes are exhausted and susceptible to sleep deprivation...
Good stuff coming through nowadays.....
