Count the Black-crowned Night Herons

Attached is a picture from Three Sister Islands where Black-crowned Night Herons were seen roosting Sunday, as has been the case the last week or so. Marguerite sent me her photo, so see if you can determine how many. I'll post the actual answer from Marguerite ( and I did count too ) in the next post. Sort of hard , so look carefully.

Hi Peter,

Can you spot all the snoozing night herons in the shrubs?

I also spotted nearby some merganser (hooded; male and female), ring neck duck, and a great egret. And almost forgot the kinglets near the Terrace bridge. I was out around noon today.

Hope you are doing well.

Best,

marg.
