Strolling down a Central Park trail or soaking up sun on Prospect Park's Long Meadow, you'd never know that nearly every inch of these treasured green spaces were meticulously planned. Learn about the creation of these and many other parks and the landscaping genius behind it all on Olmsted and America's Urban Parks. (Premieres Wed., 4/20 at 10pm on THIRTEEN and at 7pm on WLIW21.)

Today's April 20th reports:
From Rob Jett:

Peter,

Lots of activity in Prospect Park today. The
top migrants were still Yellow-rumped Warblers and
Palm Warblers, but Blue-gray Gnatcatchers suddenly
seem to be everywhere. In additions, there were several
Yellow Warblers in the park and at least one Prairie Warbler
(singing at the edge of lake near Three Sisters).

One other highlight was my first Spotted Sandpiper of the
season, which was teetering along the edge of the lake near
West Island.

Good birding,
Rob
