The hilight continues to be the YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER (YTWA), which looks like it's doing a wide park tour (unless its a second bird??) . From the Pagoda area 2 days ago, it backtracked to the Lookout Hill area west of the last reported location. Russ Alderson texted me this morning , seeing the YTWA atop a pine tree at the top step of the stairs leading up from the Maryland Monument. A last report came from Rob Bate , leading the BBC 1st weekday series walk, last spot YTWA at "south" of the Monument. No further reports afterwards; but its good to know the YTWA is sticking around. You just have to adapt to the bird's wild swings, popping up anywhere.
Also of note was flyover RED-THROATED LOON which is rare for Prospect since 99.5 % of observed loon flyovers thru early spring are Common Loons ; RTLOON today is a really good one since its only the 9th documentation for Prospect Park based on a quick records check.
I'll do a later summary when I get home from work...Lots of reports to look thru.
Summary recap: 8 species warblers...Rusty BB, Northern Rough-winged Swallow other notable sightings
One last note. I went out in the early evening to see what I could get lucky with. Looking at the lake, I see a smallish duck fly out from the Three Sisters Islands, across the lake , where it banked left of the wellhouse drive shore, before settling in among Ruddy Ducks in the western sector. I saw well in the setting sunlight, bright sky blue upper wing speculums on an overall light tannish pale duck. I wanted to make sure when I got home to look at a guide . Yep..BLUE-WINGED TEAL ( hen) ( after that sighting, it poofed.)
Update on YTWA.I received a late afternoon email from Ed McDonald that he saw the YTWA early this morning before the Lookout Hill sightings. See his posting below.

From Ed McDonald on YTWA:
Saw it this morning (8AM or so) in the trees bordering the Lullwater at the Cove.
It gets around. Maybe there's more than one???

The excuse to show at PP: 2 texmes from PD about the YTWA, which I missed. But.
The trio of warblers (Palm, Pine & Myrtle) are present in the park with good numbers. My surprise, while I was looking for the elusive YTWA, I saw 1 male Black-and-White, near the Butterfly meadow, Lookout Hill. Also in the area, at least 2 Blue-grey Gnatcatchers, 2 Brown Creepers, and lots of Palm & Pine Warblers. The 2 sps of Kinglets, ±abundant, in the same area.
Other than that, I saw 1 AMKE flying over the Nethermead, and 1 Green Heron, around the lower Lullwater.
